Swedish fintech group iZettle to seek $1.1bn valuation in IPO

Swedish payments company iZettle has fired the starting gun on what would be Europe’s biggest fintech IPO as it aims to raise SKr2bn by listing on Nasdaq Stockholm. JPMorgan and Carnegie have been appointed by iZettle to be joint global co-ordinators, with people involved in the process saying the company is hoping for a valuation of at least SKr10bn ($1.1bn) and a listing at the end of this month or in June. The start-up is the first in a series of big European fintechs expected to seek a stock market listing this year as they benefit from changing regulations that have opened up banks’ monopoly on customer account information and payments.
